The new support system for veterans of the 7th Air Assault Corps was presented during a veterans’ forum at the Maroon Hub in Dnipro.
According to Corps Commander Yevhen Lasiichuk, the technodesant philosophy is focused on preserving a person’s life on the battlefield and their dignity after leaving military service.
“The key goal of this project is to provide veterans with comprehensive support as they transition to civilian life — or help them find new ways to continue serving in the military if they wish to stay,” said Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiychuk.
The initiative launched by the 7th Air Assault Corps has been supported by Natalia Kalmykova, Head of Ukraine’s Ministry for Veterans Affairs. According to the official, the project is an important addition to the existing veteran support services.
“I am sincerely grateful to the Corps command for this initiative, and I believe it will work effectively within the 7th Air Assault Corps. In time, it can become a model for other Ukrainian Armed Forces corps and the entire security and defense sector,” the minister said.
Before the project was launched, the future advisors completed specialized training. Graduates of the intensive training program received their certificates during the veterans’ forum.
