The world’s tallest monument to Taras Shevchenko, located on Monastyrskyi Island, was ceremonially fitted with the largest maroon beret in Ukraine’s history, measuring 1.07 meters in diameter. The landmark event was officially recorded by a representative of the National Register of Records of Ukraine.
The soldiers preserved all the proportions to ensure that the paratroopers’ signature headgear perfectly matched the dimensions of the 20-meter monument.
For Air Assault Forces servicemembers, the maroon beret is a symbol of courage, valor, and unbreakable spirit. Placing it on the monument to Kobzar is our heartfelt tribute to Dnipro.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, this city has been a reliable rear base for us, the largest humanitarian and medical hub, and a true refuge for units of our corps.
Happy City Day, indomitable Dnipro! Together, towards victory!
