The 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces has a Digitalization and Technology Center, which brings together electronic warfare (EW), air defense, drones, and intelligence data analysis under a single “umbrella.” The main task of the Center is to detect enemy drones and suppress them with specialized tools.
Vadym Pliasov, officer of the Radio-Electronic and Cyber Warfare Department of the 7th Rapid Response Corps, spoke about this on Radio NV.
Currently, up to 400 FPV attacks are recorded daily in the Corps’ area of responsibility. Thanks to the work of the Center, 90–95% of these FPV attacks do not reach their targets.
Units subordinated to the Corps also counter reconnaissance-strike drones such as Zala, Orlan, SCAT-350M, and Supercam. Recently, one brigade destroyed seven Zala drones in a single shift.
“We are the Technological Air Assault. We fight not with people, but with technology. Through R&D centers, digitalization, and management solutions, we minimize risks for personnel and increase the efficiency of countering enemy UAVs,” emphasizes Vadym Pliasov.
More details on how the EW system is structured in our Corps can be found in Vadym Pliasov’s interview for Radio NV.
