Under the Watch of Enemy FPV Drones: Air Assault Troopers Evacuate Woman Near Pokrovsk

19/05/2026 13:14

A resident of Dobropillia, located 15 kilometers north of Pokrovsk, approached soldiers of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Air Assault Brigade of the 7th Air Assault Corps with a clear message: “I will not live under occupation.”

As constant shelling intensified and the front line drew closer, remaining in her hometown became increasingly dangerous. Despite the difficult decision to leave her home behind, the woman held on to her native land for as long as she could.

The evacuation was carried out under challenging conditions. First, her belongings were loaded onto an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). She then covered several kilometers on foot under the protection of Ukrainian paratroopers. Along the route, the group was forced to take cover multiple times from enemy drones. The final stage of the operation involved evacuation by HMMWV to a safer area.

The Sicheslav Air Assault Troopers continue to rescue civilians from settlements where the enemy seeks to leave behind nothing but fear and destruction.
