Yesterday, 13 October, the occupiers attempted two coordinated, simultaneous attacks on the positions of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade near Myrnohrad.
First, the enemy tried to break into Myrnohrad from the east, using two multipurpose tracked carriers (BT-LB). Almost simultaneously, russian troops attempted to enter the city from the north on four motorcycles.
Both attempts failed. Units operating within the defensive sector of the 7th Rapid Response Corps, in coordination with adjacent forces, destroyed the enemy’s equipment. The confirmed number of eliminated occupiers stands at nine.
According to available intelligence, in recent weeks the enemy has been accumulating armored vehicles in the Pokrovsk agglomeration area, planning to employ them in future offensive operations.
Over the past several months, the enemy had mainly relied on infiltration tactics, avoiding direct fire contact with our units during movement. The number of assaults per day did not exceed five, and those were conducted without the use of heavy equipment. As this tactic failed to produce the desired effect, the enemy gradually returned to assault operations. Consequently, over the past few days, the number of open attacks has increased significantly.
In total, yesterday in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps, AAF, the enemy conducted 17 assaults – all unsuccessful.
