In the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, Ukrainian troops eliminated the enemy combat UGV for the first time. The target was the Russian NRTK “Kurier”, armed with an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher.
The strike occurred last week, carried out by the UAV units of the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The occupiers had remotely and covertly deployed the UGV onto flat terrain, as close as possible to the defenders of the Pokrovsk agglomeration, hoping for an opportunity to fire on Ukrainian positions.
During a patrol of this defense sector, the Ukrainian drone crew spotted the UGV. Upon detection, Pokrovsk defenders launched FPV drones and destroyed the enemy ground combat drone.
The NRTK “Kurier” moves on a tracked platform powered by electric motors, is equipped with an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher, and is controlled via radio channel. Communication range is 3–10 km. The system features both forward-facing and rotating observation cameras.
