First Interview of the 7th Rapid Response Air Assault Corps Commander Yevhen Lasiichuk for the Media
Published by the information agency ArmyInform, the interview features Colonel Yevhen Lasiichuk, commander of the 7th Rapid Response Air Assault Corps, detailing the new army, where paratroopers work not only with firearms but also with drones, robotics, and IT tools.
The commander also answers questions about how the new corps is formed, why the focus is on technology rather than numbers, what a “techno-air assault” looks like, the integration of new recruits—including foreign volunteers—and where the corps is currently carrying out combat missions.
Additionally, he shares a bit about his journey from a military academy cadet to corps commander.
“It is very important now to use technology on the battlefield. Typically, the Air Assault Forces conduct offensive assault operations. And it is crucial not only to rely on the heroism and courage of our paratroopers but also on technology, even artificial intelligence—which we are implementing at a high level. Only through the combination of such measures can we demonstrate high combat performance,” emphasizes Colonel Yevhen Lasiichuk.
