Defense of Pokrovsk: the enemy suffers losses and cannot advance

19/01/2026 16:15

Since early December, due to active assault operations, the Russian operational reserve – units of the 76th Pskov Airborne Assault Division – has already suffered substantial losses. This is forcing the enemy to reinforce their units to maintain offensive potential. According to available information, Russia plans to replenish its losses near Pokrovsk in several stages by the end of January.

Overall, last week Ukrainian forces eliminated or wounded 370 invaders. Our troops also destroyed or damaged 86 vehicles, 20 artillery pieces and self-propelled guns, and took down nearly 1,400 strike UAVs.

In Pokrovsk, the Armed Forces are holding back the enemy, which is attempting to infiltrate the northern part of the city in small groups, north of the railway, and establish positions.

Due to Ukrainian counteractions, the enemy has been unable to amass sufficient forces in the industrial area in the northwest of the city. As a result, they cannot conduct open direct assaults on Hryshyne, currently one of the priority targets in the Pokrovsk agglomeration.

Instead, the enemy continues to operate in small infantry groups, attempting to move through forest belts and approach Hryshyne from the south.

In Myrnohrad, the Armed Forces are holding back enemy advances in the northern part of the city.

Over the past week, enemy equipment accumulation has been observed near the settlement of Novohrodivka, south of Myrnohrad. The enemy plans to use these forces and assets to continue assault operations, particularly in “upper” Myrnohrad. The Armed Forces are actively detecting and destroying this equipment in a timely manner.
