For the past six months, capturing Myrnohrad has remained one of the enemy’s key objectives on the Pokrovske axis.
During this time, the enemy has continuously sought weak points in the city’s defenses, changed tactics, reinforced its forces, and searched for opportunities to break through. Despite constant pressure, the Defense Forces hold Myrnohrad, thwarting enemy plans.
The situation in Myrnohrad remains tense. Concentrating more than 10 units around the city, the Russians continue to amass forces in the southern and northeastern outskirts.
Since the beginning of the year, the enemy has reduced open (demonstrative) assault operations and increased efforts to infiltrate the central part of the city.
To prevent further enemy advances, the Defense Forces continue search-and-strike operations in and around Myrnohrad.
During one such operation near Myrnohrad, units of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the 7th Air Assault Corps discovered enemy troops hiding in a shelter on a farm. The enemy intended to use this location to amass forces, cut off our logistics, and carry out sabotage behind Ukrainian positions.
For concealment, several enemy groups had repeatedly used the farm’s engineering facilities — including sewage pits — over an extended period. After the location was discovered, the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavriyska Brigade eliminated the Russian forces hiding in the farm buildings.
