The war in Ukraine has already been called “the first drone war” by global media. A set of five drones costing up to $3,000 each can destroy a tank worth several million dollars. A single drone can fly 50 km and paralyze logistics.
Under such conditions, electronic warfare (EW) systems have become a key weapon.
What changes have occurred in EW approaches since the beginning of the full-scale invasion? How has the corps reform influenced the deployment of comprehensive measures? And what new opportunities could artificial intelligence bring to improve EW systems?
These questions are discussed in an interview with Major Viktor Kordon, Head of the Radio-Electronic and Cyber Warfare Department of the 7th Air Assault Corps, for Censor.NET: link
