The 147th Separate Artillery Brigade will be armed with advanced Western artillery systems capable of long-range operations and highly precise strikes. The brigade will also include unmanned systems crews and other combat units.

All of this provides a technological advantage that will turn every salvo into a guaranteed result.

The commander of the newly formed brigade is Colonel Viktor Dovhal, a combat officer who has been fighting since 2014. He is a full recipient of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky. Over the past two years, he commanded artillery units of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Air Assault Forces.

“The primary mission of the artillery brigade is to support both offensive and defensive operations of the 7th Air Assault Corps. Its role is to ensure superiority in firepower—from suppressing enemy defensive positions to creating a fire barrage during an advance. Its task is to deny the enemy any chance to raise their head or respond. Cutting-edge Western technologies will further strengthen the corps’ techno-air-assault potential,” said Colonel Yevhen Lasiichuk, commander of the 7th Rapid Response Air Assault Corps.
