The 7th Air Assault Corps has added an M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket system to its arsenal. The acquisition is intended to strengthen the Corps’ combat capabilities as part of the ongoing corps-level reform.
The system has been assigned to the 147th Separate Artillery Brigade of the 7th Air Assault Corps.
The HIMARS has already successfully completed its first combat missions, destroying several enemy artillery pieces during counter-battery operations.
The 147th Separate Artillery Brigade was established in the summer of last year. Since then, the unit has continuously expanded its combat capabilities and has been striking enemy forces with modern weapon systems.
