Before the full-scale invasion, over 62,000 people lived in Pokrovsk. As of August 2025, only about a thousand residents remain.
Over three and a half years, the city has endured hundreds of barbaric attacks by Russia. Hundreds of civilians were killed or injured. Factories were destroyed, cars damaged, residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, and even grocery stores were hit.
Almost 100% of the housing stock has been damaged.
The video shows a stark contrast between two realities: peaceful life before and the present, where time seems to have stopped amidst the ruins.
Despite the pain and suffering, Pokrovsk stands.
Pokrovsk is the western gateway to Donbas.
