In the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, Ukrainian troops have destroyed an enemy ground robotic combat system for the first time. It was the Russian NRTK “Courier,” equipped with an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher.
The strike was carried out last week by the UAV teams of the 32nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The occupiers remotely and covertly deployed the UGV to a flat area as close as possible to the defenders of the Pokrovsk agglomeration, aiming to open fire on Ukrainian positions.
However, during a patrol of this defensive sector, the Ukrainian drone crew detected the UGV. After spotting the enemy device, Pokrovsk defenders launched an FPV drone and destroyed the ground combat drone.
The NRTK “Courier” moves on a tracked platform with electric motors, is equipped with an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher, and is controlled via radio channel. Its communication range is 3 to 10 km. The “Courier” is fitted with a forward-facing and rotating surveillance camera.
