On the occasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Day, Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiichuk, commander of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, recognized the personnel of the unit for their service and contribution to the country’s defense.
According to the commander, the corps’ units are currently operating on one of the most challenging sections of the front and are participating in the defense of the Pokrovsk area. He emphasized the professionalism and resilience of the paratroopers, which enables them to carry out combat missions effectively.
Service members received awards from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Air Assault Forces Command. Certain officers were presented with the honorary badge “A Step Ahead” — a new special distinction introduced by the corps commander.
The badge is shaped as an equilateral cross formed by golden wing elements, with the emblem of the 7th Rapid Response Corps at the center. The ribbon is maroon moiré silk with blue and yellow stripes. A metal emblem representing affiliation with the Air Assault Forces is also attached to the ribbon.
This distinction is awarded to personnel of the 7th Corps for exemplary service, courage, high professionalism, and personal bravery during combat missions.
