In the interview, Brigadier General Yevhen Lasiichuk stated that claims by Russian propagandists about the alleged “encirclement” and capture of Pokrovsk do not correspond to reality. The situation remains difficult, as the enemy continues constant offensive actions in an attempt to improve its tactical positions.
Ukrainian units fully control the northern part of the city. In central Pokrovsk, the troops are holding their positions and preventing any enemy advance.
Various components of the Defense Forces are involved in the defense of the agglomeration, while logistical corridors continue to be expanded to support troop rotations and sustainment.
