Football teams from the 25th Airborne Brigade, 32nd Mechanized Brigade, 38th Marine Brigade, 68th Jaeger Brigade, and 87th Separate Brigade of the 7th Air Assault Corps took part in the competition.
At the opening, the Ukrainian flag was raised by Serhiy Petrenko, captain of the 25th Airborne Brigade team, and Liliya, daughter of the fallen junior sergeant Valentyn Hnoyev, who died defending the homeland in Terny, Donetsk region.
The tournament was officially opened by Yehor, son of the late Major Serhiy Pokazaniyev of the 25th Airborne Brigade, who died in the Luhansk region.
After intense competition, the 68th Jaeger Brigade team won the tournament, defeating the paratroopers of the 25th Brigade in the final.
The winners were congratulated and awarded by well-known singer, founder of the “Cultural Forces” platform, and officer of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, Kolya Serha. He thanked the 7th Air Assault Corps for initiating and organizing the tournament and expressed his readiness to continue implementing joint sports and cultural projects with the unit.
