For the third year, the annual “HECTOR” shooting competition took place to honor Vitalii Bohonok, Hero of Ukraine and commander of the 25th Separate Airborne Battalion of the Sicheslav Brigade.
Vitalii Bohonok participated in the Russian-Ukrainian war and died in July 2022 from wounds received while repelling an enemy offensive in Luhansk. His actions stopped about 10 enemy attacks, eliminated nearly 200 occupiers, and destroyed about 40 armored vehicles.
This year, 10 teams competed: units of the 7th Air Assault Corps, other airborne brigades, the “Lyut” Assault Brigade of the National Police, and a team from the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding.
Team competitions were held in four categories: sniper rifle, pump-action shotgun, pistol, and assault rifle.
The winner in the team ranking was the 79th Separate Air Assault Tavriiska Brigade of the 7th Air Assault Corps.
During the award ceremony, winners received honors and prizes. Our partner, Ballistica, provided 77 certificates for the participants, including first, second, and third place prizes in all categories, as well as discount certificates of 15%.
